"Following my master's thesis at the Fraunhofer IWKS, I was given the opportunity to do my doctorate at the Fraunhofer ARess. At this point I would especially like to emphasize the close supervision by Prof. Gesa Beck. Her sociable and open nature has formed the ideal framework for the projects and work that arise. The employees were trustfully entrusted with demanding tasks and were able to coordinate projects relatively independently; their own suggestions and opinions were always taken into account. This confidence in the doctoral students' working methods is not necessarily common, but was extremely helpful in preparing them for their future careers. The projects themselves sometimes dealt with quite different topics, which made the work very varied and allowed an insight into many areas.

Of course, the tasks taken on and the close cooperation with Prof. Beck also provide well-founded specialist knowledge in a clear and concise way. Since the ARess has access to the excellent technical equipment of the Fraunhofer IWKS and the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences, it was possible to familiarize itself with and use many analytical methods. The colleagues' interaction with each other was also always very good, and unscheduled problems were solved easily in the team.

In summary, I received excellent training at Fraunhofer ARess and was prepared for my current job in industry. As part of other research projects, I still work closely with Prof. Beck and the ARess and always remember my three years there with pleasure".

 "As a young scientist, I was able to do research freely and yet with professional support: all this was more than possible at the ARess under the direction of Prof. Gesa Beck. For my future, I was able to learn a lot about synthesis in the field of nanotechnology, but also about resource-efficient planning.
